Kalehan has adopted, with a sense of social responsibility, the principles of contributing to local communities while minimizing social impacts of its projects and maintaining communication with affected communities in all its activities. In this regard,
Kalehan observes the principles of transparency, integrity, respect, faithfulness and fairness in all project phases. Throughout its activities, Kalehan will conduct its relationships with all employees and communities transparently and respectfully, assuring their rights and respecting their values.
All activities will be analysed for their risks on people and communities and preventive and mitigation measures will be implemented as may be required.
All necessary measures will be taken to prevent adverse impacts on people and communities in emergency situations, and an emergency quick response mechanism will be established.
Training will be provided to raise employee awareness on social issues, reporting of non-conformances will be encouraged and necessary resources will be provided therefor.
Project information will be made available to all stakeholders using appropriate and transparent means, ensuring no discrimination is made throughout the process. Continuous communication will be maintained with stakeholders and local communities.
A grievance mechanism will be established which provides tools for affected communities, employees and subcontractors to communicate their concerns and comments about the projects; and feedback will be provided in a reasonable time.
Kalehan will monitor targets, acceptability criteria and the efficiency of its social management processes and improve them in line with requirements.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND
SAFETY POLICY
Kalehan, being aware of the importance of protecting health and safety of its employees who are the most important resource in achieving the Group’s aims and objectives and for the success of its projects, prioritizes occupational health and safety in all its activities. In this regard,
Kalehan provides a safe and healthy workplace and encourages its employees for cooperation, continuous communication and progress.
Kalehan undertakes to comply with Turkish laws, regulations and standards throughout all project phases and takes into consideration international good practice. Kalehan will observe the more stringent conditions of Turkish and international specifications.
Occupational health and safety risks of all activities will be analysed and preventive and mitigation measures will be implemented as may be required.
All necessary measures will be taken to prevent adverse impacts in emergency situations and an emergency quick response mechanism will be established.
Training will be provided to raise employee awareness on occupational health and safety, reporting of non-conformances will be encouraged and necessary resources will be provided therefor.
